As of 2021, the largest wind turbine in the world is the Vestas V164, produced by Vestas Wind Systems A/S, a Danish wind turbine manufacturer. It has a rotor diameter of 164 meters (538 feet) and a blade length of 80 meters (262 feet). This wind turbine can generate up to 8 MW of electricity, enough to power over 7,000 homes. The Vestas V164 is designed for use in offshore wind farms and is installed in the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Irish Sea.
